Hey Friends and Family!

I have raised $3,223 for this mission trip (20 percent of the total needed!!) I want to thank everyone who gave towards my mission, I could not go on this mission trip if it were not for the generosity of people like you.  l also would like to thank everyone who has been praying for my journey. Would you especially pray to open the eyes and hearts of the people I will encounter on my journey.  

In the months of November and December fundraising was going great, then the month of January came along and I became really busy. I was spending a lot of time getting adjusted to my new college and classes as well as trying to find a job, subsequently I ended up having no events or plans to fundraise and ended up raising $0 in the month of January, BUT the month of January was a great time of brainstorming new ideas for raising money. Well what are those ideas?? I am planning on starting another T-shirt sale with a different design on it. I am also going to have a garage sale at my house this spring. The money raised in the garage sale will go to the mission trip. I have also thought of teaming up with some local restaurants to have a percentage fundraiser night (This would probably happen closer to the summer). My newest fundraising idea is an "adopt a box" fundraiser. 

The "Adopt a Box" fundraiser will have boxes from 1-100, each box represents the amount of money you choose to donate. You can donate any number between 1 and 100. If you pick box 17, you donate $17, or if you pick 2, you donate $2. I will also be having a raffle to make things more interesting. For each dollar you donate, one ticket will be entered into a raffle. (so if you donate $24, you get 24 entries into the drawing). By the end of the "adopt a box" fundraiser I will draw a ticket from a jar. The lucky ticket drawn will get a prize (prize determined in a few days). This fundraiser will start tomorrow or in a few days. The adopt the box fundraiser will take place on my instagram, so check there to see updates on the fundraiser. The point of this fundraiser is to show how every little or big amount that is given can eventually add up to be tremendous.
